The quantity and quality of the achievements and awards that this project has earned has clearly demonstrated to the data centre industry, as well as all of the UK Public Sector, the superb level of excellence that has been delivered for Leicester City Council by Workspace Technology’s Data Centre Solutions team.
Carbon Neutral Cooling
Workspace Technology combined Freecool® the industry leading direct evaporative fresh air cooling technology with Photovoltaic (PV) renewable technology with an array sized to deliver a peak power contribution of 35kW. As a direct result of this combined technology the Council’s data centre can truly describe it’s cooling as “carbon neutral”. This was one of the first of its kind in the UK and it is hoped that this model will act as the template for future data centre deployments.
