Since the company was established in 2005 Workspace Technology has quietly built an industry reputation for delivering innovation, passion and exceptional installation standards for the provision of data centre and mission critical solutions and services.
Over the past decade Workspace Technology has established an installed base of over £55m in data centre and associated infrastructure assets. The client base ranges from Public Sector incorporating Defence, Education and Local Government organisations as well as commercial companies across the UK.
The Workspace Technology management team are now looking to leverage from this position of strength in order to scale the business from its current run rate of £10m per annum to a target revenue exceeding £40m by 2020. As part of this ambitious growth strategy Workspace Technology will be creating a Regional business unit focused on delivering its established portfolio of data centre & mission critical power solutions and services to companies across the UK.
As part of this exciting initiative Workspace Technology’s Regional team will be working in partnership with Schneider Electric in order to help clients with the design, installation and support of their extensive range of industry leading data centre technology including Racks & Accessories, Power Distribution, UPS, Cooling and Monitoring and Management technology. Workspace Technology is already positioned as the UK’s leading APC by Schneider Electric Elite data centre partner.
As a participant in APC’s Elite Data Centre Partner programme, Workspace Technology delivers exceptional levels of service and expertise helping clients to resolve wiring closet, server room and data centre design requirements and challenges across a broad spectrum of data centre infrastructure technology.
Workspace Technology’s Elite Partner status, ensures clients achieve full access to qualified and dedicated solution engineers, and can offer on-going support, technical information and visibility to the new and fast moving developments within the wiring closet, server room and data centre infrastructure environment.
With the first stage of the Regional team initiative in hand, Workspace Technology has forecast that this investment will help the company to increase annual revenues by at least £10m per annum by 2020. The Regional development forms one of a number of initiatives designed to help establish Workspace Technology as the UK’s largest by market share independent data centre and mission critical services specialist.
Andy Orton Sales Director commented “Workspace Technology has been successful within a number of niche market sectors with particular success with Defence and Education clients over the last few years. Whilst we fully intend to maintain and expand our momentum with these vertical sector markets this parallel development of the Regional team will support the company’s desire to expand its reach to organisations across the UK who would not otherwise benefit from our data centre expertise.”
