Factory Pre-bonded Finishes

flooring-index-factorybonded

Workspace Technology offers a wide range of factory bonded panels supporting internal and also external applications. Any engineered, natural, hard or resilient floor finishes that can be produced in a 600mm x 600mm format can generally be bonded to floor tiles.

The use of factory bonded panels enables Workspace Technology to deliver the desired aesthetics and performance demanded by the architect whilst maintaining full accessibility to the floor void. Workspace Technology deploy factory bonded panels across a range of applications including, data centre, commercial, educational, retail and leisure environments.

Wood Finishes

Workspace Technology’s wood finishes are based on a genuine natural timber veneer, with a wide choice of contemporary species including cherry, oak, maple and ash. The timber veneer is fixed to a cork under layer which provides resilience and benefits from natural sound insulation. The wood veneer is protected by a “nano bead” high performance surface coating which helps reduce maintenance costs. Workspace Technology’s wood veneer systems are supplied with a fifteen year warranty for commercial & industrial applications.

Other Finishes Available

High Pressure Laminates (HPL)

Recommended for data centre, server and communications rooms or where there is a requirement to reduce the static electricity which can damage sensitive computer equipment. The High Pressure Laminate (HPC) is pre-bonded to the access panel, trimmed and sealed to create an encapsulated floor tile that can be easily removed using a suction tool to access the floor void. Generally the industry standard colour “steel grey” is installed within data centre and other commercial environments, however a range of colours are available and can be fitted to order.

Vinyl

Recommended for data centres, comms rooms, server rooms, clean rooms and other applications where static control is required. A 2mm thick PVC tile with antistatic properties is pre-bonded to the floor tile, trimmed and sealed to create an encapsulated floor tile that can be easily removed using a suction tool to access the floor void. Vinyl’s are available from manufacturers which include Polyfloor, Gerflor and Altro.

External Applications

By combining porcelain, terracotta, natural stone with a composite cementitious panel, we can create a raised access floor system for external applications such as balconies, terraces and atria. Adjustable pedestals which are weather resistant are installed with an integral spacer to allow drainage for surface water. The panel can also be installed internally allowing continuity of the external floor covering throughout the building.

Glass

Clear, opaque, shot blasted or treated 30 mm thick triple laminated glass panels can be supplied. Glass panels can be integrated within a floor scheme and can be used to create features, light wells and vision panels.
